Installation of baghouse dust collector

Update Time: Page views:time

As an efficient air purification device, the baghouse dust collector is widely used in industrial fields and plays a vital role in improving the production environment and protecting employees' health.

However, proper installation and operational precautions are essential to ensure the optimal performance and long-term stable operation of the baghouse dust collector.

This article elaborates on three aspects of the baghouse dust collector: installation procedures, key operational points, and precautions, to help relevant personnel gain a better grasp of this equipment.

## I. Installation Procedures of the Baghouse Dust Collector

### 1. Pre-installation Preparation

Before installing the baghouse dust collector, thorough preparation must be completed first. This includes confirming the construction location and ensuring the ground is flat and solid

to bear the weight of the dust collector and the vibration generated during its operation. Meanwhile, the structural drawing of the baghouse dust collector should be obtained for reference so that construction can be carried out in accordance with the drawing.

Prepare all necessary installation tools and materials such as screws, nuts, sealant, and confirm they are intact and usable.

In addition, accurately measure and record environmental factors including the temperature and humidity of the workshop to provide a scientific basis for subsequent design and construction.

### 2. Install the Main Body of the Dust Collector

Install the shell sections of the baghouse dust collector on the foundation one by one following the serial numbers assigned at the factory. Ensure tight connections between all components without looseness.

When installing the hopper, guarantee a reliable seal at the joint between the hopper and the shell. As a key component for collecting dust, the sealing performance of the hopper directly affects the dust removal efficiency of the dust collector.

### 3. Install the Filter Bags

The filter bag assembly is the core component of the baghouse dust collector, and its installation quality is directly related to the dust removal efficiency and operational stability of the dust collector.

Before installing the filter bags, inspect whether the filter bags are of proper size and whether the stitching is firm. If damage, skipped stitches or other defects are found,

repair them before installation. When installing filter bags, fit each filter bag onto the supporting cage inside the shell one by one.

Pay attention to the correct arrangement sequence and orientation of the filter bags, and ensure a tight fit at the joint between the filter bag and the cage. The longitudinal seams of the filter bags shall face the same direction, away from the air inlet.

### 4. Install the Pulse Jet System

The pulse jet system is an important part of the baghouse dust collector, used to remove accumulated dust on the filter bags.

During installation, mount the air tank beside the upper box body, and ensure tight connections between the jet nozzles on the air tank and the pulse valves.

Then install the jet pipes and fix them under the box body, with each jet orifice aligned to the center of the filter bag cage.

After installation, commission the pulse jet system and set parameters such as pulse width, jet interval and pulse cycle to ensure the normal operation of the pulse jet system.

### 5. Connect Pipes and Power Supply

Connect the air inlet and air outlet pipelines to the dust collector, and ensure good sealing at pipeline joints to prevent air leakage.

At the same time, connect cables and control switches correctly in accordance with the control system drawing provided by the manufacturer, and commission the control cabinet.

Make sure the control system can properly govern the operation of the dust collector, including the pulse jet system and exhaust fan.
